Background

The Joint List won 13 seats in 2015, split before April 2019, reunited for September 2019 (13) and 2020 (15), then lost Ra'am before 2021 and fell to 6 seats (IDI). In 2022 Hadash-Ta'al and Balad ran separately and Balad missed the threshold (Times of Israel). In January 2026 the four Arab parties signed an agreement to work toward reviving the list (Times of Israel, https://www.timesofisrael.com/under-pressure-arab-knesset-pa...). Hadash elected Yousef Jabareen chairman on 16 May 2026 after Ayman Odeh and Aida Touma-Sliman did not stand; Balad re-elected Sami Abu Shehadeh on 27 June and chose Orly Noy as its first Jewish candidate in fifth place (JPost, https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/politics-and-diplomacy/art...
